Jacinth Thamadapalle

Jacinth joined Silent Spring Institute in 2026 as a Research Associate, where she supports research on how chemical exposures contribute to the development of breast cancer. Working under Dr. Jennifer Kay, she applies her expertise in bioinformatics to analyze multiplex immunofluorescence images of mammary gland tissue samples, identifying patterns of changes caused by different chemicals and helping to map early biological changes that may lead to disease.

Jacinth holds an M.S. in Bioinformatics from Boston University and a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research. Her research background spans spatial transcriptomics and drug discovery. After completing her master’s degree, she joined BioSens8 as a Bioinformatician. She is especially interested in using computational methods to uncover the biological effects of environmental exposures on human health.
