Cancer & Environment Forum 2023
The second Cancer & Environment Forum was hosted by Columbia University and focused on how healthcare professionals can engage with environmental health policy.
In 2023, Silent Spring Institute partnered with the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at Columbia University and the Weill Cornell Medicine's Meyer Cancer Center to host the second Cancer & Environment Forum. This year’s forum included panels on environmental exposures and cancer across the life course, policy and systems-level influences on environmental exposures and health outcomes, and how healthcare providers can contribute to institutional change in their communities and advocate for patients affected by environmental exposures.
