Alex Lee
Alex Lee joined Silent Spring Institute as a Research Associate in 2025. He applies his interests in chemical pollution and environmental justice to advance the Institute’s work on understanding how communities are exposed to hazardous contaminants. He is currently working on methods of identifying co-exposures to breast cancer-relevant chemicals, and contributes to the creation of new resources for Silent Spring's PFAS Exchange website.
Alex received a BS from Brown University, where he studied environmental engineering and public policy. As an undergraduate, he completed capstone projects on air pollution regulation and water treatment, and was elected to Brown's Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi chapters. Before Silent Spring, Alex worked with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, where he helped identify and remediate PFAS contamination in private drinking water wells.
Outside of work, Alex likes to brew coffee, root for the Boston Celtics, and volunteer with Brown's college mock trial team.
