Excerpt: The EPA says there are over 80,000 chemicals in use today in the United States but only a small fraction have been tested for their effects on human health. Today, Ruthann Rudel, Research Director at the Silent Spring Institution, who studies environmental pollutants and women’s health, and Laurel Schaider, Silent Spring Staff Researcher and responsible for Silent Spring Institute’s Cape Cod groundwater and drinking water research, discuss the various studies the organization has been working on.
