Tests Done On Cape Cod
Excerpt: Drugs, chemicals and other contaminants are showing up in tests on drinking water on the Cape.
"At this point, low level exposure to these types of chemicals is really not understood," said Laurel Schaider, of the Silent Spring Institute.
There are no guidelines for healthy levels of the chemicals. Minute traces are in 75 percent of the wells that were tested last fall. Researchers found 18 chemicals, including nine pharmaceuticals.
