Excerpt: Laurel Schaider of the Silent Spring Institute in Boston is one of the eight speakers on the agenda for the State of Wellfleet Harbor Conference, which will open at 8:30 a.m. at Wellfleet Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 14.
After a continental breakfast, and opening remarks by Selectman Jerry Houk, the speakers will start their presentations.
Schaider begins her talk at 11:20 a.m. On "Pharmaceuticals and Hormones in Ponds and Groundwater," it is a topic that “people should be aware of, even if there has been no testing for pharmaceuticals and hormones Wellfleet's ponds," she said.
